Talk about inspired reading.. It seems that everyone and they dog nowadays is a budding writer just waiting to be discovered. A quick glance at the number of travel blogs available nowadays and you realize just how cultured and educated some of those travelers are. Experts of far away destination including Miami Holidays, a suit case and a lap top at the ready just in case, the collective knowledge that together they make available is breathtaking and truly inspiring. Any one planning on a vacation would be well advised to read some of these, including mine of course.

There are travel blogs about everything, including this one which is a semi lucid evaluation of holiday apartments and other such vacation homes considerations where I tentatively present the advantages of renting a vacation home rather than a conventional hotel to the average, tourist, seeker of vacation thrills and holiday discoveries.

A subject not always as sexy as one might imagine, it is nevertheless nice to write about means of evasion when mind and body leave the dreary of yester days behind but I couldn’t help mixing it up just this once.

After all the subject of this very small transgression should not offend anyone as it presents a picture of beauty and purity, one which we would all be more than happy to emulate, or at least embrace.

Yes, I am talking about Alicia, the ultimate gorgeous travelers, whose trips and excursions half of the world population keeps in their heart, or possibly lower. There are posters of Alicia everywhere on the planet. World travelers may have seen in her translated into the language of the place they have visited in the past several years, and judging by the popularity of our Alicia, chances are her name and image have been used in most of the world languages. Talk about a holiday destination!

But you see, Alicia is a born again vegan, and just in case you don’t know what this has anything to do with travel, well, you’re right. It doesn’t. Not that her message is less worthy of being included in a holiday based articles, after all she is an expert at evaluating the cuteness of all including her latest statement: “Like most people, I wasn’t always a vegetarian, but I’ve always loved animals. If you ever have a chance to meet a cow, pig, turkey, or goat, you will see that they are just as cute and funny as your dogs and cats and that they, too, want to live and feel love. They don’t like pain. Now when I see a steak, it makes me feel sad and sick because right away, I see my dog or the amazing cows I met at a sanctuary.”

But she is so very cute, as a tourist or otherwise, so without further ado, and just in case the above has just put you off your next dinner, do watch Alicia’s new Sexy Veggie PSA video. You’ll be glad you did and just in case you wonder I can tell you that it is perfectly appropriate for viewing for most, unless the suggestion of disguised nakedness offends you.

And as you treat your eyes to a couple of minutes of sheer delights, thing about how beautiful this world really is. There is beauty everywhere waiting to be explored and enjoyed.

Holidays are often the object of a forthcoming and welcome rest, a break in our day to day activities where a far away destination provides just the right tonic of our yearly mind and soul rejuvenations.
