Do you suspect that your partner has been cheating? You may be experiencing a troubling intuition that things aren’t right with your relationship. Our intuitive feelings about relationships are surprisingly accurate.
Research has shown that our suspicions about a cheating spouse tend to be correct. It’s necessary that we have objective evidence or signs to look out for that give support to our suspicions. Remember that a mistaken accusation is very damaging to a relationship.
Here are five telltale signs that your partner is cheating.
1.) Odd cell phone activity.
Check for odd phone numbers on your spouses cell phone. Cheating is not possible without a lot of communication and cell phone technology is perfect for this. Look for phone numbers with a lot of calls occurring at unusual hours.
2.) Increase in time spent away from you.
Has your spouse been away at lot recently? Has there been an increase in time spent at work?
Have there been “business trips” that were extended for several days? What matters is that the time spent away from you has gone up significantly.
3.) Greater money expenditure.
Is there a greater expenditure on items that you never see or at restaurants that you haven’t been to? If there are dated receipts, do you know where you and your spouse were at the time? Were both of you together or apart?
If apart, do the receipts agree with where or what your partner said they were doing? Has there been an increase in cash withdrawals?
4.) An improvement in attire.
Has your partner’s wardrobe suddenly increased? Is she or he buying clothing suited for social occasions? Outings that you never experience?
Is your spouse too well dressed when going out with a “friend”. Maybe your spouse is going to the usual places better dressed than before.
5.) Discrepancies and inconsistencies.
Does your partner’s words and actions add up? Does he or she make changes in the details of his or her activities?
Lying is very difficult to keep up with. Over time, it is inevitable for the liar to slip up with their hastily made up explanations and excuses. When your spouse isn’t around, write down the details for later reference.
Being cheated on is a very painful experience that can leave deep scars. Before confronting your spouse, make sure that you have your facts straight.
